Birgu is one of Malta's oldest towns. It has many old Churches bastions and Museums.  Birgu also forms part of the south side of Malta's grand harbor. Some of the property in Birgu is built along the water bank and boasts spectacular views of the harbor and bastions. The Knights of Malta arrived in Birgu in 1530 and made it the capital city of Malta, now some of their old structures have been converted into restaurants and bars.  There is also a Casino di Venezia on the sea bank. The prices of property in Birgu start at very attractive figures but they keep going all the way up depending on the finishing and location.
