Another village found in the south area of Malta is Tarxien, where the Godess of Fertility and the Neolithic Temples are located, dating back to a history of 4000 years. In older parts of this town one many come across old houses with niches found on facades or street corners. Many villas here have historic significance, which were home to bishops back in 1540. Today Tarxien is a busy town, like many others however this only lasts a couple of hours during the late morning. Property in Tarxien is still one of the few locations where one may find houses, as many have been converted into a block of apartments, and converted maisonettes.
